About Chikura
There are eight fishing ports of various sizes, and a wide variety of restaurants and accommodations where you can taste fresh seafood.
The climate is warm all year round, and although it is easily accessible from the metropolitan area, there is still an abundance of untouched nature.
Flower fields add colour to the area in early spring, the beach is bustling with people enjoying swimming in the summer, and surfers flock here throughout the year.
The god of cooking is enshrined at Takabe Shrine in Chikura, Minamiboso,
where a knife ceremony is dedicated twice a year.
It is also popular as a power spot.
